Like several Lamborghinis before it, the Aventador stayed in production for many years, but the inevitable production end of the Aventador coincides with emissions regulations finally catching up with the Italian automaker, forcing the inclusion of a hybrid system into its next hot rod, the Revuelto .

“Aventador" is not Italian but Spanish meaning “fan" or “billower". “Fan" may be translated as “ventilatore" in Italian. The Lamborghini motor vehicle company has a tradition of naming its models after Spanish fighting bulls and the Lamborghini Aventador follows that tradition.

The price of the 2022 Lamborghini Aventador starts at $507,353 and goes up to $550,542 depending on the trim and options. A limited number of Ultimae models will be built, with 350 copies of the coupe and 250 of the roadster to be sold around the globe.

Lamborghini restarted production of the Ultimae to replace those 15 destroyed cars. The very last Ultimae, and thus the very last production Aventador rolled off the line in July 2022.
